Dear patients and families,
After careful consideration, I would like to inform you of my decision to retire from my practice of dentistry, effective January 3, 2014. It has been my honor and privilege to serve you and your families over the past 30 years. A remarkably wonderful ride for me.
I heartily welcome Dr. Juan Carlos Salazar to carry on the tradition of our dental practice. I have carefully chosen Dr. Salazar, appreciating his demonstrated charitable passion for serving others, with an excellence born from extensive training and experience.
Dr. Salazar's credentials are impressive. He received his DDS in the year 2000, followed by three years of advanced Dental training Residency and Fellowship at the University of Connecticut dental school. Dr. Salazar served as a clinical instructor and affiliate faculty member at the UW and University of Connecticut dental schools. More recently, he has spent over six years serving as a dentist in the nearby Burien community. Dr. Salazar, his truly delightful wife Cynthia, and twin daughters Emma and Brisa, reside in the Renton Highlands!
I am certain you will like Dr. Salazar and find confidence in his care. You may see me at the office – as I plan to be an ongoing patient of Dr. Salazar's, myself. Then perhaps I may not be recognizable – more relaxed than you have known me to be!
As I enter a new season of life – I wish to major on fulfilling God's purpose for the remainder of this journey. "Planned spontaneity" will be more so the theme – relationships to be enriched by an attitude of availability, open to be interrupted to go with the flow, join in the moment. More time spent at home, or on "getaways" with my dear wife, JoAnne, and family. And to dive into the courageous adventure of caring, at times, for my twin little granddaughters just born – a precious gift beyond description!
At your next dental appointment, you will be pleased to meet Dr. Salazar and the familiar faces of Karen, Bree, Mary Lynn, Nikki, and Tracy. They will continue to be your dental team serving with Dr. Salazar.
What I will miss the most are the wonderful relationships and friendships that have blessed me in my years of practice. I so appreciate the privilege of being your family dentist, and humbly thank you for your trust and confidence. I will sincerely miss all of our precious families and patients.
With heartfelt thankfulness,
Randolph L. Lake, DDS
